Are you planning to support relief efforts in Haiti? For those of us who aren't in the medical field and who don't have a lot of money, what are some creative ways to get involved and make a real difference?
First, I have to start out by saying that the Earthquakes in Haiti were so sad. I can't imagine what the Haitians are going through & I pray for their continued relief.
As far as donating towards support reliefs...I donated to YELE, where you texted & donated $5. It's not a lot, but at least it's something. I'm a broke college student and I barely have any money. I feel like even though I only donated $5, it's more than nothing.
To make up for what I didn't have (lots of money or supplies to donate), I prayed. A lot.
I honestly think prayer is so powerful. God knows so many people are praying for Haiti and that counts. If you can't donate, prayer is just as much of a donation, in my opinion. I know that some people don't believe in prayer, religion, God, etc...so in that case, you just have to find something that YOU feel can help in place of monetary donations. I think it's just a personal choice and it's what you think is best :)
